Grass21_Color_WebWinters Friends of the Library invites everyone to enjoy a series of free outdoor concerts from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, July 11-Aug. 1, at the Rotary Park Gazebo, Main Street at Railroad Avenue in Winters.

The series concludes on Aug. 1 with Tango No. 9. The San Francisco-based quartet explores tango music in all of its myriad manifestations — traditional dance music, vocal ballads, tango nuevo and more recent compositions — bringing an idiosyncratic twist to each.

With violin, piano and trombone and the unforgettable vocals of tenor Zoltan DiBartolo, the group presents a witty and elegant take on the most romantic and heart-breaking songs the world has ever known.

The concerts are free, but donations will be accepted with gratitude. The Friends of the Library will have pizza, ice cream and cold drinks for sale, and all proceeds will support the Winters Library. There also will be a selection of quality used books for sale.
