Mila Salazar dances TangoPacifica Performances presents Tango No. 9 with dancers Count Glover and Mila Salazar in “Tango From The Heart”, a show celebrating the romance and heat of tango, you will enjoy a wonderful evening of exotic Tango. Tango No. 9 has returned every year to Pacifica since 2007, sharing their explorations into the heart of this music. Presenting music old and new, They embark on an exciting musical adventure, borrowing from the rich tango tapestry, beginning with the tango nuevo of Astor Piazzolla, turning to the romance and tragedy of classic tango, adding a touch of Kurt Weill, a dash of humor and a pinch of West Coast modernism.

Count Glover is a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer of Argentine tango with a tap and ballet background that began at the age of two with his grandmother’s dance company in Chicago. He is also a well-received social dancer of tango and is adept at all forms of tango from all time periods, considered one of the best dancers of Argentine tango in San Francisco. Mila Salazar is a dancer, teacher and Tango DJ in San Francisco. She has performed in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, The Latin Show, was dance captain of the Libertango Dancers, a guest member of Tango ConFusion and directs her own group TangoFlor. Currently she is partnered with the La Pista Tango Studio, expanding programming there to develop it into the only tango school of its kind outside of Argentina.
